That’s all from RE19

RE19 is now complete – thank you to all of our speakers and delegates who attended for making the day as interesting and educational as it was. The day was filled with a variety of evidence and insights from academics, practitioners, and policy makers across the UK and internationally, with evidence of leading practice across the Fire and Rescue Service.

Please see our Twitter Feed (@FiREAnnual) and follow #AnnualFiRE19 for updates from the day.

Congratulations to our Fire / Gore award winners:

  • Best Poster: Ricky Carvel (University of Edinburgh): Backdraught (and how to avoid it)
  • Best Presentation: Gina Reinhart, Andrea MacAllister, and Keiron Moir (University of Essex / Essex FRS): How Safe and Well is your Prevention Activity? A study in impact and effectiveness

We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the day.

We are already looking forward to RE20!

RE17

Last year the Annual Fire Related Research and Developments Conference 17 (RE17) took place at West Midlands Fire and Rescue Headquarters in Birmingham. It was another great research event combining state of the art fire-related disciplines with presentations from both practitioner and academic research projects.
